Housing Development That Embraces the Okanagan Lifestyle

In partnership with the Penticton Indian Band, HDR provided design services for a multi-story residential development with Greyback Construction. Nestled into the natural slope of the site and oriented towards stunning views of Penticton and Skaha Lake as well as surrounded by a new vineyard, Skaha Hills is a prime location. 

The buildings are contemporary in style and incorporate materials that are appropriate for the Okanagan Valley’s desert climate. The design fully embraces the Okanagan lifestyle of seamlessly living indoors and outdoors by incorporating large outdoor living spaces as an extension of the interior living quarters. The buildings have been constructed with mass timber elements that include both CLT and light wood framing. Each single-level unit includes a detached garage and a storage building.
