As the interior design principal for the Los Angeles office, Susan helps lead the vision, strategy and growth of the interiors practice working in concert with architecture and planning.
With more than 25 years of experience, her leadership has fueled award-winning projects in the health, workplace and life science markets. Susan's commitment to excellence ensures the consistent delivery of quality design, innovative solutions and unparalleled client service. Passionate about sustainable and equitably designed environments, she strives to create spaces that inspire and contribute to overall occupant well-being. Her expertise lies in weaving creativity and functionality, elevating HDR's interiors practice to new heights in the pursuit of transformative design.
Susan has presented seminars on sensory design, interiors commissioning and environmental social governance within the built environment. She has also participated in multiple panel discussions on healthcare design, sustainable interiors, the future of design and fostering emerging leaders.
She volunteers with industry organizations such as International Interior Design Association SoCal, where she is the vice president of professional development and leads the IIDA Los Angeles Emerging Leaders program. She is on the NeoCon Program Advisory Committee as well as the Los Angeles Business Council Architectural Awards Committee.
