Shai believes the best community designs are informed by residents and stakeholders. That’s why she’s passionate about developing inclusive and fun ways to engage the public at the onset of the design process.
As urban planning principal, Shai is responsible for growing and developing a diverse and sustainable regional urban design and planning practice in Texas and beyond. Over her 25 years in the industry, Shai has cultivated valuable connections in both public and private sectors related to long-range planning and project implementation for local governments. She prides herself on finding creative, “win-win” solutions for clients that are realistic, affordable and implementable.
With an active interest in building places for people and a commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity, both in communities and the workplace, Shai serves as diversity equity and inclusion committee chair of American Planning Association’s Texas Chapter.
