S. Wesley Dortch, P.E., D.PE, MBA

As our ports and maritime leader in the Southeast, Wes leverages nearly 25 years of diverse structural design experience and 15 years of specialized port and marine design and project management experience to serve our clients’ waterfront and waterborne commercial needs. Having served as the client and contract manager for a number of public seaport multi-year general services contracts, Wes has an intimate understanding of the operational, commercial, funding, aging asset management, and available land and berth space challenges facing the industry.

No stranger to complex problems, Wes and his team develop creative solutions for some of our clients’ most challenging projects. His broad knowledge of maritime projects combined with relationships among our global practice means he can draw upon deep resources to tackle formidable tasks at ports throughout the Southeast.

Highlights of his career include serving as project manager for the Talleyrand Bulkhead Rehabilitation at JAXPORT, for the PortMiami Wharves Strengthening Program and for the ongoing Port Everglades Slip 1 Expansion.
