Dams Levees and Civil Works Project Manager
Based in Denver, Lee’s role as dams levees and civil works project manager is to think strategically, integrate technical staff, manage project risks and help deliver smart, client-focused and sustainable solutions.
Lee’s expertise is in applying risk-informed decision-making practices, consequence analysis, flood hydrology and hydraulics, instrumentation and early warning systems for dam and levee safety programs. He enjoys managing multi-disciplinary teams on projects ranging from rehabilitation design to emergency response.
His unique perspective as a previous dam owner/regulator means he knows how to apply sound reasoning to decisions and actions and understand the nuances of balancing limited resources with the need to reduce and better define dam safety risk.
Lee is a recognized leader in learning from and investigating dam failures and incidents. Lee co-chairs the Association of State Dam Safety Officials’ Dam Failures and Incidents Committee and is the vice-chair of the United States Society on Dams Committee on Education and Training. In 2021, he received the national Young Professional Award of the Year by ASDSO which recognizes professionals under 40 years of age working in the dam safety field who have made outstanding contributions to the organization and the industry.
