Kevin Burke
Power Delivery Program Management Lead
Kevin serves as program management consultant for power delivery clients, understanding their goals, objectives and the importance of deploying capital funding to prudently invest in infrastructure upgrades. He works with clients to review capital portfolios, recommend delivery models, develop risk mitigation strategies, and create efficient processes to effectively deliver projects and achieve program objectives.
He has 10 years of experience in the transmission and distribution power delivery industry and eight years of military service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in various leadership roles including platoon leader, division engineer and company commander. He was stationed in Germany and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. After completing his service, Kevin brought his leadership and strategic planning skills to construction and project management. As a project manager for electric utilities, he developed and executed large transmission and substation programs with a capital investment exceeding $2 billion. His experience includes traditional and alternative delivery models including EPC, EPC Open Book, and Progressive Design Build.
Kevin serves as the co-chair for our program management practice group, which presents on program management topics, develops tools and processes, and shares best practices across our organization. Outside of HDR, Kevin is active in his community with the iPrevail Foundation supporting local causes including foster homes, clothing and food drives, and homeless assistance in central Florida.
