Ken Filar, RA
Principal Planner
Ken has more than 30 years of professional experience designing and documenting projects in the science and research, electronics and emerging technology industries. His experience with laboratory, nanotechnology and microelectronics facilities contributes to his unique understanding of clients’ specialty requirements. This experience paired with his tangible passion in science and research readily translates into effective client partnerships to program, plan and design great environments for discovery.
Over the years, Ken has also pursued his passion for the physical sciences and engineering in unconventional ways, including founding and coaching a world champion high school robotics team. Additionally, Ken is a Research Affiliate with MIT’s Plasma Science and Fusion Center, where he leads systems design for MIT’s next generation nuclear fusion reactor, ARC, a program intended to lead us into a limitless, clean energy future.
