Katie assists clients in projects ranging from transmission pipelines and resilience assessments to water treatment and facility planning. She enjoys helping utilities identify water quality concerns and evaluate options for treatment strategies to meet regulatory and secondary treatment requirements. Katie strongly believes in the importance of accessible and clean drinking water for all.
While working with the San Jacinto River Authority, Katie experienced firsthand the enormous impact that algal blooms have on water quality. During the new water treatment plant’s startup, the watershed experienced an unprecedented change in water quality, resulting in a significant rise in organics levels. Katie assisted SJRA in utilizing the plant’s treatment technologies to address treatment challenges in real-time.
For more than a decade, Katie has participated in the American Water Works Association, actively serving many diverse roles and has presented at multiple national technical conferences.
