Erin Hunt, P.E.
Water President
HDR
As president of our global water practice, Erin is responsible for its leadership and strategic growth. She ensures that we pull together the top minds and resources from around the globe to design the smartest solutions to our clients’ challenges.
Growing up in Florida, Erin has fond memories snorkeling in the Keys and waterskiing in the lakes of Central Florida. But like many Floridians, she took this natural resource almost for granted. It wasn’t until her sophomore year in college, through an internship related to a water supply plan, that she realized how important and invaluable water is for any community. With a renewed interest and passion for water, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida.
Erin brings over 20 years of industry experience, including many successful roles at HDR, from project engineer to project manager, from business development lead to operations manager. For the past three years, she has served as operations manager for our offices in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.
Erin’s technical expertise is matched by her proven ability to lead some of the most impactful water projects in our communities. As client and project manager for the Omaha Metropolitan Utilities District and the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, she helped deliver improvements to the 100-year-old Florence Water Treatment Plant and led planning efforts to improve the resiliency of Lincoln’s water supply. As north central water client development leader, she helped grow market sectors and local water business programs across the region.
