Eric Venable, P.E.
Federal Transportation Director
“Federal transportation, at its core, is all about public service. Developing infrastructure to support the livelihood, lifestyle and safety of our national community is of ever-increasing importance as our population continues to grow.”
As our federal transportation director, Eric uses his decades of experience to continue our long history of providing key transportation expertise to the federal government, whether federal highways, coastal ports, defense installations or more. Working closely with other our leaders, he facilitates collaborative business and staff development, and manages operations support and strategy implementation for projects and teams throughout the federal transportation program.
Eric’s more than 25 years in the industry includes experience in operations, finance, strategic marketing, business expansion, client and subcontractor relations, and contract negotiations for federal, public, and private maritime and industrial clients. Much of his career has focused on the design and construction of ports and maritime facilities, where he has supported and led the delivery of several first-of-their-kind facilities, from intermodal container transfer terminals to nuclear aircraft carrier fuel unloading stations.
A proud Clemson University graduate, Eric supports numerous industry organizations, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute and the Naval Submarine League.
