Don Nguyen, P.E., S.E., ENV SP, STP
Bridges & Structures Sustainability Leader
Don, a bridge structural engineer, leads our bridges and structures sustainability efforts.
His career so far has focused on sustainability — he led the Greenroads certification effort on the Razor Clam Bridge Replacement project in Ocean Shores, Washington. He worked to develop the sustainability program for our bridges and structures group, including developing best practices. Don is also the chair of the Sustainability Technical Center for our bridge practice, which hosts quarterly technical webinars.
Don has experience in project management, design, analysis, construction services, specifications and inspections. Prior to joining us, Don spent six years designing signature bridges throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has performed global analysis modeling and foundation design, developed specifications, and provided construction services on steel network tied-arch, suspension, concrete box girder, balanced cantilever, cast-in place, precast, steel truss and concrete precast girder bridges.
He is also actively involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers. In 2017, Don was the ASCE Seattle Younger Member Forum President, leading a board of over 20 officers and chairs to host community service, networking, technical and professional development events. He served as the ASCE Seattle Section president in 2021.
