Utility Management Services Lead
Derek is a utility management services lead with experience in infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and program management. Derek enjoys thinking strategically about leveraging data and alternative financing mechanisms to improve delivery of water infrastructure services. He consistently contributes to the American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation and American Society of Civil Engineers committees as well as the annual Aspen Water Forum.
In 2014, Derek was selected as an American Association for the Advancement of Science Science & Technology Policy Fellow. This enabled him to spend a little over one year in the Executive Branch exploring alternative financing/delivery mechanisms, public-private partnerships and future/technological trends in the water resources and construction sectors with the Institute for Water Resources (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) in Alexandria, Virginia.
