Darren Pynn, AIA, LEED AP, CDT
Southwest Region Manager, Vehicle O&M Facility Design
Creative problem solving drives Darren’s passion for facility planning and design — from concept to occupancy — and it has helped establish him as a trusted advisor to our clients. Based in Los Angeles, Darren led design for the award-winning Division 14 Expo Light Rail Operations and Maintenance Facility for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro). He also served as facility design manager for the Pasadena Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility for the City of Pasadena.
Darren excels at project management, quality control, design development and construction document management, and he brings an eye not only for innovative solutions but for sustainable ones as well. He has contributed to facilities and master planning for transit agencies and municipalities as well as academic institutions, hospitals, and industrial and commercial clients. Outside of work, Darren stays active with his community as an ACE (architecture, construction and engineering) mentor, and as a member of the Pasadena Green Ribbon Committee to establish the city’s green building development guide. He’s also a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Public Works Association and the Construction Specifications Institute.
