HDR Expands Agribusiness Practice to Include Packaging Systems Services
HDR is expanding its agribusiness practice with a new packaging systems service line, adding depth to core industrial services. As multinational agribusiness facilities modernize to meet product demand, this strategic growth complements HDR’s core industrial services including project design, development and estimation, process optimization, packaging technology, and automation solutions.
Bryan Howell, based in Omaha, Nebraska, leads HDR’s packaging systems service line. Howell built his career with food and beverage companies including Nestle Waters, Conagra Brands and Kerry Group, evaluating and executing asset relocations and new product innovations and delivering multimillion-dollar projects to drive cost, labor and design efficiencies.
“Packaging automation improves safety, quality and efficiency in food and beverage facilities,” Howell said. “As HDR’s agribusiness practice continues to grow, I’m thrilled to add my expertise to the firm’s depth of services by helping clients identify and implement cost-effective, innovative and reliable packaging systems.”
HDR has provided engineering and environmental services to agribusiness clients for decades. Recent accomplishments include designing the control system for a new malting facility, designing one of the world’s largest indoor hydroponic farms, and a revolutionary infinity loop allowing a grain facility to process multiple unit trains at the same time without impacting mainline traffic.
