HDR’s Ron Perkins Elected to CMAA Board of Directors
Ron Perkins, P.E., CCM, has been elected to the board of directors for the Construction Management Association of America. Perkins was elected by the 16,000-plus members of CMAA and will begin his 3-year term on Nov. 1 at the conclusion of CMAA’s Annual Conference.
“This is well-deserved recognition of Ron as an industry leader in the construction management profession,” said Tom Haid, HDR’s water construction director. “The CMAA Board of Directors is responsible for governing the association using best practices and focuses its attention and activities on setting the strategic direction of the organization. Ron will use his field experience and leadership in delivering major projects and programs to ensure that the association continues to prepare its members to excel in the construction management industry.”
Perkins serves as the construction services lead for water and wastewater projects and programs in the California market. He is a Certified Construction Manager and licensed professional engineer. With 37 years in the industry, Perkins has successfully delivered environmentally challenging and highly visible construction programs with tight schedules and cost constraints.
Perkins has been an active member of CMAA since 2002 and has served as president of the CMAA Northern California chapter.
“I’m excited about this opportunity to use my experience to further the industry and the association,” Perkins said. “CMAA is a great resource for the construction management industry, and I’m proud to continue HDR’s active participation in the association leadership.”
