Advancing Sustainable Transit and Passenger Rail

The IIJA marks a significant increase in investment toward more sustainable transportation options. It represents the largest investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak and will provide needed funding to replace transit vehicles and rail rolling stock powered by carbon-intensive fossil fuels with clean, zero emissions vehicles.
