Principal Planner
In his role as principal planner, Som supports education, science and advanced technologies projects across Canada, providing expertise related to lab programming and planning for life and physical sciences and advanced research facilities.
Som has amassed an impressive portfolio over the last 20 years that covers a wide range of geographies and scientific disciplines. From Canada to the United States to Malaysia, Som has worked on everything from tenant improvements to new builds to master plans for pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and world-renowned federal laboratories.
He is a founding member of AIA Canada Society and a former board member for Sustainable Laboratories Canada. An industry thought leader in science and technology architecture and design, he has presented at both the SLCan conference and the International Centre for Infectious Diseases Biosafety Symposium.
