Mike Garello, P.E.
Senior Water Resources Engineer
Based in Gig Harbor, Washington, Mike leads our fisheries ecohydraulics practice. He specializes in planning, design, construction and operation of fish passage and screening systems and has worked on projects throughout the United States and Canada. On a typical day, Mike collaborates with our teams and clients and serves as technical leader or project manager on a broad range of fish passage, nature-like fishway, water crossing and habitat restoration projects.
He is passionate about communicating with others and finding solutions to the most complex, multidisciplinary fisheries projects throughout North America.
Mike is an active member of the American Fisheries Society’s Bioengineering Section Executive Committee, as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Environmental and Water Resources Institute Joint Fish Passage Committee.
