Mark Richter, P.E., LEED AP
Client Development Lead
Mark’s focus centers on client development primarily in both the finance and corporate workplace markets within New York City and the tri-state area. He works with clients to match their needs with our many varied building services, including planning, consulting, architectural and engineering design, and commissioning.
Over the years, Mark has been involved in many projects with experience in mass transit/transportation, institutional, commercial/corporate, cultural, educational, multifamily, hospitality, and mixed-use market sectors. Projects in each of these markets have provided their collective challenges and rewards in his career. Notable projects he has been a part of include, Boston’s South Station Upgrades, NAVFAC Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Drydock #2 Modernization (both in the mid 1990s), One57 Residential Tower, Nasdaq MarketSite and Exterior Sign, AMNH Butterfly Vivarium Exhibit, and 520 West 28th Street’s Zaha Hadid.
He believes that all building engineered systems, whether mechanical/engineering/plumbing or other, are critical to many aspects of our life, health and function. They provide the sustainability of our daily experiences, in the indoor environment, and provide a backdrop to expand on our capabilities in the human potential. In addition, each building is unique in its own design and operation. Ongoing challenges have centered on both indoor environments and building energy consumption. These challenges require focus and attention not only during the design and construction, but through the life cycle of the building. It is these challenges that Mark enjoys undertaking and will continue to tackle as he helps in creating a new environment and experience for our clients.
