Topical discourse continues apace on the engineering design of smart buildings, including the value we create for clients and the efficiencies which are gained with respect to energy consumption, accessible data and ease of function for truly integrated networks that allows a “building to talk.”
As called for in the Paris Agreement, adopted in 2016, to achieve a 45% reduction in emissions by 2030 and to reach net zero by 2050, viable building decarbonization strategies are required. With the growing number of initiatives, standards and legislations, truly intelligent buildings allow developers and operators to be ahead of the curve.
