Joshua Marks, mechanical engineer and assistant client development leader, shares his expertise on sustainable data centre design in the article "Building a sustainable future for data centres" recently published in Data Centre Magazine.

In a recent report by Clifford Chance, findings suggest the industry will reach a compound growth rate of 4.5% by 2026. Notwithstanding this projected growth, the same report highlights that data centres are responsible for 2% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. The industry is taking action to address its environmental impact, whilst seeking to meet demand for data processing requirements for the future.

Joshua's commentary includes solutions for cooling, regenerative design, power generation and applying circular economy principles.
