Jim Keen

Jim, an award-winning architect with over 25 years of experience, has lived and worked in Europe, Australia and North America. His portfolio includes various project types and scales, from city-scale master plans to airports, cutting-edge laboratories, and hand-crafted school buildings. 

As design principal in our Manhattan architecture studio, Jim collaborates with clients and teams to deliver dynamic global projects. A believer that the best designs seamlessly blend architecture and structural engineering, Jim uses light, space, and innovative structural features to achieve modern, inspiring, and site-specific work.  

Jim’s passion for the latest parametric computational design tools allows him to develop radical new architectural concepts not possible only a few years ago. To complement his passion for computational design, he has developed a hand-drawn illustration style that communicates ideas directly to the client without elaborate computer visualizations. As a result, he can engage viewers immediately and directly in a format that allows the design to speak for itself. 

Outside of architecture, Jim is a best-selling science fiction author fascinated by the impact of artificial intelligence on future society.
