Principal Structural Engineer
Scott is a qualified structural engineer with over 15 years of experience in engineering consultancy and team leadership. Having worked on projects in the United States and Australia, he takes an agile approach to project execution and is adept at delivering within various project delivery models and fluidly adopts local standards and practices.
He has worked on many large projects, including several with over a billion-dollars in construction budget. His rail industry design and delivery experience is demonstrated through passenger transit projects such as commuter rail in Denver, Colorado, and high-speed rail in California.
Scott has advanced skills in the technical analysis and design of highway and railroad structures. He has designed using multiple structural forms including reinforced concrete, precast-prestressed concrete, precast-segmental/insitu post-tensioned concrete girders, and steel sign gantries. His technical experience includes seismic analysis/design, and rail-structure interaction analysis.
He's also highly experienced in project delivery. He has led large teams with diverse backgrounds and skill sets through both office-based and remote or globally-integrated delivery settings. His management and organisational skills enable him to resource staff, prioritise task execution, negotiate financial disputes, engage stakeholders, and bring the best out of the individuals in his team, thus driving maximum results.
