Bob Beduhn
Dams, Levees and Civil Works Director
Bob began his career during the heyday of Superfund investigations throughout Minnesota in the mid- to late-1980s. After several years of tyvec, respirators and inclement weather, he returned to school to receive his bachelor's and master's degrees in civil and water resources engineering.
For over 30 years, Bob has worked on increasingly larger flood control and infrastructure projects, improving sustainability and resiliency from a number of natural and man-made shocks and stresses. An accomplished program and project manager, Bob has led some of our most complex engineering assignments. He is currently leading our civil works program and driving the integration of community resiliency approaches throughout our engineering programs.
As an active member in many industry professional organizations, Bob currently serves on the board of directors of the America’s Watershed Initiative, as a committee chair for the American Society of Civil Engineers Coastal Oceans Ports and Rivers Institute, and as a committee member of the ASCE Infrastructure Resilience Division.
