Brett Geesey, P.E.
Coastal Lead, Central, U.S.
Brett started his career over 15 years ago in our Corpus Christi, Texas, office before moving back home to grow our coastal program in Louisiana. As the office principal, he leads a full-service team of engineers and scientists, overseeing the delivery of projects and business development in Louisiana.
His project experience includes dredging, marsh restoration, beach nourishment, shoreline protection, and the evaluation of coastal processes and their interaction with structures. Due to the unique challenges of Louisiana’s coastal environment, Brett has gained immense experience implementing restoration and shoreline stabilization projects in soft soil conditions. He is an active member of the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association, currently serving on the board for the Central Gulf Coast Chapter.
He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a master’s in ocean engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station.
