Senior Design Architect

“Architecture is the intersection of humans and place.”

Katherine brings over 20 years of experience designing a range of typologies to her position as a senior design architect in the Phoenix architecture studio. Her diverse portfolio includes everything from K-12 schools and performing arts centers to custom design-build homes, retail, and office spaces.

In her role, Katherine leverages her deep architectural knowledge and curiosity about the desert environment to cultivate a collaborative studio culture where all feel welcome and inspired to share and iterate design ideas. Her role as an instructor of architecture at The Design School at Arizona State University is further evidence of her commitment to developing the next generation of architects and positively contributing to her community.

To realize clients’ needs in built form, Katherine begins each project with deep listening and then works with teams to deliver innovative and inclusive design solutions that consider the project’s unique climate, community, budget and longevity.

Katherine believes in the power of architecture and design to propel positive change for clients and help build strong communities. She considers language used and policy set by clients, even before a site is selected, as critical first steps in the design process to ensure a project is positioned to achieve maximum positive impact.
