Try Khou, P.E.
Senior Project Manager
Ask Try why he became an engineer and he will tell you he likes to design things — things that serve humanity. As a senior project manager in Southern California, he does just that.
Early in his career, Try led a team for a $450 million project to design, seal and deliver the first electronic toll road in Canada. And today, he leads our project team for the Port of Long Beach Pier B project, a mega rail yard redesign, among other infrastructure projects.
Try takes a distinctly human approach to projects. “As engineers, we are trained to solve problems and provide cost-effective designs for our clients,” he said. “The most important part of that is listening to their needs and the challenges they face.”
Among the accomplishments Try is most proud of is establishing our Toronto engineering operations in 2007. He is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, Canada and California.
