Financial Company
We were assigned to complete the mechanical/electrical/public health and fire strategy for 270,000 square feet of dedicated commercial office space in London, U.K., for a global finance company. The multinational financial services company are landmark tenants for the 37-story mixed-use building, occupying the first six floors. We have been alongside our client from inception to the completion of this project. We assisted in 2015 with the initial property searches, helped develop what the client were looking for as well as assisting in getting all the enhancements put into the base building for their new flagship headquarters. For the project we provided MEP and fire strategy services.
We are proud to say that this was one of the biggest projects to achieve practical completion during 2020 in London when engineering works were generally brought to a standstill in a government enforced lockdown. We developed excellent methods of Virtual Commissioning and remote witnessing which not only allowed us to continue work during travel restrictions, it also improved the commissioning process in a number of ways. We were able to get the “smartest brains in the room” from all over the world, reduce our carbon footprint and improve overall efficiencies in the building process. These processes will continue to be used as part of our service offering on future projects.
We ensured the space was completely smart technology enabled allowing for sophisticated data collection This usage data can then help create optimum building performance as well as enhanced user experience for the occupants. We installed Tier 3 cooling systems and electrical systems. This means our client can conduct a planned shutdown whilst maintaining consistent cooling and power to the trading floor and critical areas. The level of resilience is akin to something you would expect to find in modern data centers.
Due to the team’s excellent ongoing performance on this project, our client commissioned us to conduct our leading MEP services on a number of projects across their portfolio of global offices.
