Transportation President
With nearly 30 years of transportation engineering, project management, operations and program/construction management experience, Tom is president of our global and award-winning transportation program, ranked 5th in Engineering News-Record’s “Top 50 Transportation Design Firms.” He leads the growth and profitability of our multimodal, $1 billion transportation program comprised of 4,000 professionals worldwide.
Tom provides the long-term strategy and vision to support our multi-disciplinary practice in response to the evolving and complex needs of our public and private clients in every major mode of transportation. His focus is on delivering unrivaled infrastructure projects by enhancing our staff development programs and expanding our comprehensive technical services and program delivery capabilities.
His wide-ranging experience includes leading multi-million-dollar programs for both public and private-sector organizations, addressing the needs of multiple constituencies and successfully delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. Before joining us in 2002, Tom worked as a consultant and for the New York State Department of Transportation.
Previously serving as our Northeast regional director of operations, his leadership helped develop our presence in the region significantly — including more than tenfold growth in the NY Metropolitan Area. He played a key role in many notable projects, including the Bayonne Bridge Navigational Clearance Program, which won the American Council of Engineering Companies Grand Conceptor Award in 2018, Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel Expansion, MTA Open Road Tolling Program and NY MTA Central Business District Tolling Program.
Staying engaged with industry organizations, he is a member and leader in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers, WTS and the New York Building Congress, among others. Tom is also an active leader in ACEC, having served as chair of ACEC NY in 2017-2018 and on the ACEC national board of directors in 2018-2019.
