Bernard J. Skar, P.E.

BJ is a senior program manager for airport and airfield pavements, and infrastructure. He specializes in planning, design and construction of aviation facilities. With more than 40 years of experience, he has overseen most aspects of various aviation projects, including: runways, taxiways, aprons, arm pads, lighting vaults, air traffic control towers, maintenance hangars, hydrant fuel systems, weapons systems facilities, navigational aids and lighting projects.

Before joining us, he worked as the senior airfield engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transportation Systems Center, and continues to serve as an instructor for the TSC in its U.S. Department of Defense Airfield Design Course.
