Chad Croft, P.E., was elected as an Oregon director on the Northwest Hydroelectric Association’s board of directors. NWHA members selected Croft and will begin his term after NWHA’s annual conference Feb. 24-26.
Croft is HDR’s Northwest hydropower practice lead and a licensed professional engineer. He’s held various roles during his 25-year career in hydropower, including plant manager, maintenance supervisor and project manager, overseeing day-to-day plant operations, safety, regulatory compliance and major capital upgrades. At HDR, Croft has worked on numerous hydropower projects across the northwest region, including the Seattle City Light’s Skagit River Hydroelectric Project.
Croft participates in the NWHA technical committee and NWHA Hiring for Hydro events, and is a frequent presenter at NWHA technical workshops. He also serves on the Hydropower Foundation board of directors.
“Between his distinguished career with PGE and HDR, Chad is deeply rooted in northwest hydropower,” said Dave Culligan, HDR’s hydropower practice lead. “We are proud of Chad’s election to the NWHA board of directors and his role in advancing the value and environmental stewardship that is the rich heritage of NWHA and clean, renewable hydropower in the northwest.”
Created in 1981, the NWHA is a trade association representing independent energy producers, public and private utilities, government entities and individual leaders across the northwestern United States and Canada. Its mission is to promote the region’s waterpower as a clean, efficient energy source while protecting wildlife and the environment.
