Prioritizing Regenerative Design in Healthcare

To meet the environmental challenges of today and prepare for those of the future, healthcare facilities are pushing beyond carbon neutrality and towards regenerative design. HDR's Matthew Cunha-Rigby, sustainable leader; Eric Meub, design director; and Peter Duckworth-Pilkington, sustainable design leader, outline the firm's Regenerative Design Framework and methods new health care developments can use to be sustainable and support the natural environments they inhabit. The framework's data-driven approach complements the firm's holistic and human-centered approach to designing for health and well-being.
