HDR at Piccadilly Lights
Being featured on the iconic curved neon lights of Piccadilly Circus is a rare opportunity. HDR is thrilled to have been showcased among other partners on this world-famous landmark.
Piccadilly Circus is known for its curved neon lights, the Eros statue and, of course, the wide array of cinemas, theaters, shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Lucent W1 is a stunning new mixed-use development utilizing the previously empty space behind the iconic Piccadilly Lights and surrounding buildings. Located in the heart of London, the ambitious scheme seamlessly merges with retained listed façades to deliver 110,000 square feet of premium offices, 30,000 square feet of modern retail units and 3,000 square feet of high-end residential space.
Between November 2020 and August 2023, HDR was entrusted with commissioning management for the entire lifecycle of the project, testing its design intent before the work began and subsequently delivering building engineering services. HDR will also be providing aftercare for the development in the form of seasonal commissioning.
Lucent W1 is a wonderful collaboration between Landsec, Fletcher Priest Architects, and Wates, together with a host of many talented partners, bringing to fruition this mixed-use development in the heart of London.
