Transportation Data Acquisition & Digital Delivery Director
As the transportation data acquisition and digital delivery director, Cameron is responsible for the development and use of innovative and forward-thinking implementation of project delivery technologies to increase project efficiencies within the transportation sector. He uses his background in building information modeling to integrate digital delivery across the entire project life cycle for connected BIM while incorporating reality capture for digital twins and integration for asset management. He also leads a variety of training and implementation of digital delivery related workflows throughout some of our largest mega projects, creating new ways to better serve our clients.
As the digital delivery lead for the $1.95 billion LAX automated people mover project, Cameron’s responsibilities included the oversight of 250 modelers across 37 unique companies and over 28 offices, blending over 90 architectural models and 60 civil models to meet contractual level of development requirements for use in 4D phasing, 5D estimating, as-built and operations and maintenance use cases.
He currently serves as the digital delivery lead of the Ontario Line Technical Advisory program. The CA$10.9 billion subway project includes 15 stations and 16 kilometers of track expected to support nearly 400,000 boardings daily. HDR is leading more than 400 designers across multiple companies and practices to create and synthesize more than 300 models.
Cameron’s commitment to efficiency and workflow process improvement have allowed for design technology standards that have been implemented throughout HDR, creating a more efficient and productive workplace.
Cameron was named a finalist in 2020 for the Autodesk International Innovator of the Year Award, honoring an architecture, engineering and construction practitioner who is reimagining the design and construction practice through the use of technology.
