By embracing a problem and transforming it into a community asset, the new Rodney Cook Sr. Park in Atlanta’s historic Vine City transforms an area prone to flooding into a vibrant 16-acre stormwater park. Seamlessly integrating functional green engineering features, the park can alleviate flooding by capturing and storing up to 10 million gallons of stormwater. Fast Company magazine featured the “built to flood” park along with HDR’s Principal Landscape Architect Robby Bryant and Senior Landscape Architect David West.
