Bridges & Structures Director of Operations
As director of operations for our bridges and structures group, Rob facilitates the coordination and collaboration of the more than 600 of our bridge specialists throughout our offices around the world. In that position, he is passionate about staff development and creating the next generation of engineering leaders.
A strong leader and communicator, Rob works closely with our multi-disciplined teams, often simultaneously on concurrent projects. His management style is centered around a team-oriented focus on project delivery coupled with individual accountability and understanding of scope, schedule and budget from the start. A successful project manager on efforts of all sizes, Rob delivers solid results, both from a financial performance and client satisfaction standpoint.
Rob previously served as our bridges and structures sustainability program leader and continues to champion sustainable practices on projects he leads. A recent project highlight was the Los Angeles World Airports - LAX Automated People Mover, for which Rob led 12 design teams and several sub-consultants to deliver the structural analysis and final design of the elevated APM guideway. The post-tensioned concrete structure consists of multiple frames with highly variable geometry including span lengths, bifurcations, high curvature and variable depth superstructures.
