Sheri Teymouri, AIA, EDAC, WELL AP, health planner at HDR, has been named a 2024 Healthcare Design Magazine Rising Star. The award recognizes outstanding designers and planners who have been involved in the industry for fewer than ten years.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be a recipient of this recognition. My passion for healthcare design is driven by the opportunity to enhance the well-being of community members through our projects,” Teymouri said. “I am grateful for the unwavering support of my mentors and colleagues on this journey, and I am inspired by the positive impact of our collective efforts every step of the way.”

Teymouri is based in our Chicago studio, where she has earned her reputation through her work on the Rush University Medical Center Joan and Paul Rubschlager Building, Advocate Health Ambulatory Outpatient Centers and Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Lutheran Medical Center Replacement Hospital and more.

“Sheri continues to show herself as a current and future leader within the health planning group,” said Dave Redemske, ACHA, CCHP, HDR senior health planning principal. “Within her tenure at HDR, Sheri has proven herself to be a vital member of her project teams and is constantly being sought after on new projects. Having Sheri in the health planning group gives me confidence that the future of HDR’s strong health planning subject matter expertise is in great hands.”

Teymouri will accept the award at the 2024 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in Indianapolis this October.
