HDR United Kingdom Fund Awards Grants to Local Food Banks
Food banks in the communities of our U.K. employees recently received grants from the employee-led HDR United Kingdom Fund.
The grants follow HDR’s global Day of Giving fundraiser, during which U.K. employees also collected food donations.
"Our HDR Foundation is committed to helping the communities where we work,” said Richard Whitaker, HDR U.K. managing director. “As well as funding grant for local charities, we strengthen communities by supporting local food banks. Our donations help ensure that everyone has access to the nourishment they need, building a healthier and more resilient future for all.”
In total, £6,000 was awarded to food banks supporting the communities in Berkhamsted, Croydon, Glasgow and London, where HDR has offices.
“Once again, the generosity of the staff at the Berkhamsted office and the amount donated was overwhelming, not only to recipients but also to the wonderful volunteers at the food bank,” said Jane Pickering, HDR office manager.
