CIBSE Apprentice of the Year Level 3-4 Winner: Sidney Hargreaves

Sidney Hargreaves, mechanical engineer, has featured in the Young Engineers Awards blog on the CIBSE website.

Originally drawn to engineering through his passion for motorsport, Sidney used to race professionally for British Superbikes from a very young age and began his career as a mechanic for Land Rover and Jaguar, amongst other prestigious brands.

In 2023, Sidney won CIBSE Apprentice of The Year Level 3-4 and is a Rising Star of HDR's apprenticeship program. In this Q&A, he describes his engineering career, inspiration and the benefits of entering the CIBSE Awards.
