Kate leads our site investigation and remediation practice and serves as our federal resources market sector director. She partners with federal clients, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, on complex remediation projects, and supports the waste, industrial and federal programs with multi-disciplinary strategic planning and execution.
A senior project manager and remediation expert with over 18 years of experience, Kate began her career at the EPA supporting Superfund national policy development and site teams with technical expertise and regulatory compliance. She became versed in federal contracting and an expert in Superfund policy and regulations, serving as the go-to national resource for developing and managing the procurement of $3 billion of new Superfund contracts, named the Remedial Acquisition Framework.
Kate serves as the deputy program manager for EPA’s $500 million design and engineering services contract, with a focus on program execution for the Western United States. Kate also supports program management and process improvements for a large aggregate quarry in Colorado, managing multiple technical projects to evaluate and permit quarry expansion while implementing tools, processes, and procedures to improve quarry compliance programs.
Kate is an advocate for private-public partnerships and a straightforward technical problem-solver. She founded a co-sponsorship with the Society of American Military Engineers and has driven technical program development for national symposiums and continuing education web-based seminars.
