Daphne Federing
Principal Economist
“Economics can shine a light on our assumptions and choices, but let the data and analysis help you make better decisions, not make the decisions for you.”
As an economist, Daphne is dedicated to handling client relationships, managing IDIQ contracts, as well as research and writing. Her work with the USDOT and other federal agencies requires her to stay up-to-date on major policy developments.
She continues the groundbreaking regulatory analysis work begun by David Lewis, former HDR Chief Economist, advancing how we can estimate the value of improved accessibility to transportation for people with disabilities. Daphne also helped secure TIGER grants for several disadvantaged communities.
Building on her regulatory impact experience, she has made several presentations to industry organisations on the economic impact of accessibility, including at the International Transport Forum and TRB.
