Christina Alito, P.E., Ph.D.
One Water Institute Lead
Christina's passion for providing clean and safe drinking water through the tap led her to pursue a career in water and wastewater treatment. Christina leads our One Water Institute, the applied research arm of the company, and is involved with nationwide water research projects focused on potable reuse, biofiltration, emerging contaminants and other water technology evaluations.
Her involvement in biofiltration-based Water Research Foundation studies over the past two years has included coordination with over 20 utilities and academic agencies across North America, evaluation of optimization strategies and exploration of monitoring tools for drinking water and potable reuse systems.
Christina is the chair of our One Water Institute practice group, which connects our professionals and fosters discussion of emerging water quality issues. Her passion is finding the bridge between research, technology and the best practical solutions for utilities.
