Designs Unveiled For $478 Million Sydney Biomedical Precinct

HDR’s Sydney Biomedical Accelerator project, designed in collaboration with Denton Corker Marshall, has been featured in an Architecture AU article titled “Designs unveiled for $478m Sydney biomedical precinct.” The article outlines the design of a seven-story circulation spine called the ‘Connector’ and unveils the range of education and laboratory research facilities being designed and delivered, along with specialist core laboratories and technical support spaces that integrated research with patient health outcomes.

In the article, HDR National Director of Education and Science Graeme Spencer emphasises the importance of pairing local and global scientific expertise, as well as the intricacies of designing highly adaptable biomedical laboratories where education, healthcare, engineering, and science converge.
