HDR Appoints Fewins Corporate Sustainability Director
HDR has named Lisa Fewins its corporate sustainability director. Based in the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, office, she will lead the overall approach for corporate sustainability, shaping and demonstrating value for all our built and natural environments.
Fewins most recently served as HDR’s power environmental sciences and planning leader. She has a long, successful record of supporting corporate sustainability efforts, environmental consulting, and various domestic and international risk management and business leadership roles.
“HDR has a history of being at the forefront of sustainability, and we have a chance to build on that foundation and make even greater, positive impacts,” Fewins said. “I envision — and will work to see — a time when sustainability is integrated into the way all of us work and live our daily lives.”
With more than 18 years in environmental sciences and broad experience in energy-intensive industries, she aims to lead HDR’s growing environmental and sustainability work. “Lisa’s multidisciplinary background and extensive work on sustainability projects make her the ideal person to lead this program for our company,” said Chief Strategy Officer David LeCureux. “Her leadership will benefit our communities and the work we do for clients across the world.”
Fewins holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences and a Juris Doctor with a certificate of environmental, natural resources law from the University of Kansas. She is a licensed attorney in Kansas and holds an Envision Sustainability Professional certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
