Rick has been involved in transportation planning and engineering for four decades. He has helped develop many long-range transportation plans and integrated transit service into growing metropolitan areas. He’s also designed projects that contributed to completion of the U.S. interstate highway system.
As Rick continues to lead the transformation of transportation today, he looks for innovative approaches. His vision has helped elevate our transportation practice to better meet society’s needs. Experienced in a wide range of transportation efforts, Rick has a deep understanding of multimodal and interdisciplinary engineering and planning projects.
A former mayor, Rick understands the political pressures that come with developing transportation projects. He has also served on committees and participated as a member in numerous industry associations, including American Public Transportation Association, Transportation Research Board, Institute of Transportation Engineers and WTS International.
