Victoria Johnson Joins HDR as a Global Equity Director
Victoria Johnson has joined HDR’s water practice as a global equity director. In this role, she will lead an established equity practice, providing advisory services to infrastructure leaders to shape and integrate equity and justice priorities for federal, state and local agencies. She will work closely with HDR’s leadership across multiple markets and geographies to shape and steward HDR’s external equity strategy and goals for broader benefits to communities.
Johnson brings a proven track record of working with clients on integrating equity considerations within their organizations. “Victoria has a lot to offer our organization and clients,” said HDR’s Water President Erin Hunt. “We’re excited to partner with her to produce more resilient, sustainable and inclusive infrastructure.”
Johnson is a highly accomplished practice leader with 19 years of experience in the consulting industry, including a diverse portfolio of work in major U.S. markets including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami and Atlanta.
She is also a global thought leader and speaker, providing perspectives on social value; resilience; and Environmental, Social and Governance in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Johnson is a published author on best practices in people-centered infrastructure, including a recent congressional article in The Hill titled, “Investing in People to Power our Infrastructure.”
Serving in leadership roles within national professional societies, Johnson is a member of the National Skills Coalition Infrastructure Industry Recovery Panel. In this role, she is advising the Biden Administration and 117th Congress on infrastructure-related legislation, including the $550 billion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and other legislation to inform how infrastructure can build more equitable, sustainable and resilient communities.
