Nitin Katiyar, P.E., ENV SP
Hydraulic Modeling Practice Lead
Nitin leads our hydraulic modeling practice with a focus of improving project delivery and team connectivity.
He's passionate about providing optimized solutions to utilities, especially on large climate resilience and gray-green infrastructure planning projects.
Nitin’s experience spans the full water modeling gamut — including watershed assessments requiring hydrology and hydraulics, evaluation studies for combined sewer overflows/sanitary sewer overflows, point and non-point source pollution allocation, and large infrastructure planning and performance evaluation.
Having worked on major projects with a significant impact on protecting water resources and infrastructure across the U.S., Nitin serves on national committees with the Water Environment Federation to help set industry standards. As a recognized leader in the field of water modeling, he took on the role of vice-chair for the production of a WEF comprehensive modeling manual called “Stormwater, Watershed, and Receiving Water Quality Modeling" and he currently serves as the Conveyance and Watershed Director of the WEF Community Leadership Council.
