Mike Rudisell, P.E.

Mike utilizes his technical experience for both project pursuits and delivery of large infrastructure projects focused on pumping, conveyance and treatment. He collaborates with high-functioning teams in developing concepts to provide solutions for complex hydraulics projects.

His passion and drive are fueled by making the environment better and ensuring clean water is available to everyone. He believes we must continue to invest in improving and protecting our water resources because water is our “lifeblood” in so many ways.

Mike’s most significant accomplishment was the design delivery of the Rowan Pump Station, a 220-foot-deep tunnel dewatering pumping facility used to remove water from a 4-mile long, 20-foot-diameter storage tunnel for combined sewer overflow. A recipient of multiple awards, including the 2021 American Council of Engineering Companies Engineering Excellence Award, the project will eliminate over 400 million gallons of CSO from the Ohio River annually to significantly improve waterways in the region. 

In addition to presenting at engineering conferences and seminars, Mike’s work has been featured in various publications including American Infrastructure Magazine, Water and Waste Digest and Kentucky/Tennessee Water Professionals Connector. Mike also served as president of the Louisville Chapter of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers and re-established the Engineering In Schools program for middle-school children in the local community.
