Fewins Joins HDR as Power Environmental Sciences & Planning Lead

Lisa Fewins has joined HDR as power environmental sciences and planning leader.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Fewins partners with clients to map cleaner energy futures as a global reduction of carbon-based fuels creates more environmentally complex power projects.

“Lisa’s experience will create tremendous opportunities in this space,” Power Director Bill Barnhart said. “Environmental sciences and planning are two of the most complex aspects of power projects. With Lisa guiding us, I am confident we will bring the best solutions to our clients.” 

Fewins has worked in environmental consulting, as a contract manager, operations leader and in business leader roles, including a two-year stint in Asia. She has a thorough understanding of the myriad environmental processes that can challenge and influence power infrastructure projects. With more than 15 years in environmental sciences and a broad range of experience in energy and energy-intensive industries, she aims to anticipate client needs and help them navigate ever-changing environmental and sustainability needs.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences and a juris doctorate degree in environment, energy and natural resources law from the University of Kansas. Fewins is a licensed attorney in Kansas and served on a corporate sustainability committee for eight years.
