Tom Widawsky, our technical sector principal, has contributed to Telecommunications Industry Association’s ‘Where is the Edge?’ whitepaper, alongside other industry experts. The document discusses edge computer modelling and comments on the significant pace of global data centre evolvement. With an exponential number of deployments and continued growth in the global Edge Data Centre market, there is predicted to be more than 55 billion IoT devices, creating 73 trillion gigabytes of data by 2025. It is important, now more than ever, to move the industry towards a more consistent set of standards for ensuring high performance, resilient and secure edge data centres.
